Which Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Star Is Joining James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy Cast?

Pom Klementieff, who portrayed Mantis in Avengers: Infinity WarAvengers: Endgame, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 among others, was reported to be playing an undisclosed role in Superman: Legacy earlier this week.

However, DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn took to Threads to clarify that no such discussions have taken place. He wrote:

“Despite Pom being one of my favorite actors to work with, this is 100% not true. Not only is Pom not in the movie, but no one has ever even discussed her being in the movie, nor do I have any idea what role she would possibly play.”

The Hollywood Reporter updated their previous story, and now they claim that Miriam Shor is in talks to join the ever-growing cast of Superman: Legacy. Shor has also worked with Gunn previously, portraying Vim in GOTG Vol 3.

Vim was a recorder for the High Evolutionary. She meets a tragic fate in the movie during her attempts to start a mutiny against the High Evolutionary.

It was earlier believed (via Geek Vibes Nation) that Shor has been cast as the head of the CIA in the David Corenswet starrer. However, there’s a new update on that front as well.

What James Gunn Said About Claims of Miriam Shor Joining Superman: Legacy

Gunn shared the report concerning Shor’s entry into the DCU in his Instagram stories and denied her casting, too. Interestingly, in Shor’s case, Gunn did note that he would love to find a place for her in Superman: Legacy.

In The Hollywood Reporter’s latest story, Shor’s role wasn’t specified. The 52-year-old was most recently seen in Bradley Cooper’s Maestro, a musical fantasy that has attracted a number of Golden Globe nominations.

Meanwhile, Gunn also suggested in a separate Threads post that he has discussed a specific role with Klementieff, but that has nothing to do with Superman: Legacy.
