Daredevil: Born Again is a show that many fans have been craving to watch. While the show’s contents remain closely guarded, Echo showed us that Matt survived the Blip, and was operating in New York during the 5 years between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. We also know that there was another vigilante operating between Infinity War and Endgame in New York: Clint Barton.
However, along with Daredevil, there is another character that had been running around in New York after the Blip: Frank Caslte’s Punisher. Punisher and Daredevil could both have crossed paths with Ronin and even teamed up to take down New York’s most dastardly criminals.
Ronin and Daredevil could have clashed
Hawkeye, when under house arrest for the events of Captain America: Civil War, lost his kids and wife to Thanos’s snap, something he was not a part of preventing. Of course, this sends Clint down a very dark path, one where he becomes a violent vigilante, cleaning up the streets of New York and other major cities in the wake of Blip.
Daredevil, thanks to his appearance in Echo, has also been shown to be active during this time. It was Clint who killed Maya’s father, who Daredevil fought in a flashback sequence in her miniseries, Echo. Daredevil, given that we know how he reacted to The Punisher’s violent ways of dealing with criminals, might have clashed with Clint Barton’s Ronin similarly. Matthew Murdock and Clint Barton might have found themselves facing down the same enemy but on opposite ends of the moral spectrum, something that was the case with Daredevil teaming up with The Punisher.
Clint Barton could have teamed up with Frank Castle
Jon Bernthal first made his debut as Frank Castle/Punisher in Daredevil Season 2, way back when the character was still an active part of Netflix’s Defenders line of characters. Frank Castle lost his children and wife to gang violence, taking it upon himself to use his military training to fight and clean up Hell’s Kitchen by any means necessary. Given the similarity between his story and that of Ronin, the two violent vigilantes may ally while taking down the same group of criminals, teaming up work with their grief and anger together.
Matt Murdock and Punisher teamed up in Season 2 of Netflix’s Daredevil and are set to return in Daredevil: Born Again. Kingpin is posited to become a bigger threat for street-level vigilantes at large, including the likes of Hawkeye, Spider-Man, Moon Knight, Daredevil and The Punisher. The Kingpin has already made an appearance in Hawkeye as a chief antagonist.
The character has also shown up in Echo, vying to become the mayor of New York City, where most of our heroes work. While the street-level heroes could find themselves in trouble, even larger organisations like The Avengers might have to bend the knee to legislations that Kingpin could put in place.
