With so many Terminids and Automatons invading planets in Helldivers 2, every player needs that one weapon that sends the enemy limbs flying. They don’t have to scratch their heads as the game’s armory comes with only 37 weapons, some capable of bringing total chaos to the battlefield.
Among them, the SG-225 Breaker shotgun remains the players’ favorite as it inflicts damage no enemy can recover from. And its counterpart, SG-225IE literally feels like burning firecrackers, making it another beast that players would consider taking in the battlefield against giant enemies. However, the developers appear to have been busy making some amends to this absolute beast.
Breaker Will Hopefully Won’t Become Broke After The Patch Comes
As one user took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to showcase the gameplay involving the weapon in focus, Arrowhead CEO Johan suggested the gun may not come in handy during some missions.
We are looking at data and doing a balance patch – you would be surprised to learn that while the breaker scores more kills. It is not overrepresented in missions that end in success…. 🤔

“The numbers are a guideline but does not paint a complete picture.”
More weapons will be added in the game’s future updates, however, no specifics have been provided as to what they will be. However, some recent leaks that surfaced on the internet have given us a glimpse of Helldivers 2 version of juggernaut suits called mechs.
It’s Not The Only Weapon Capable of Bringing Chaos in Helldivers 2
And it’s not just the Breaker shotgun that’s breaking ground in the game. The Anti-Materiel Rifle is among the top-tier weapons players are using to punch holes in enemies. It is especially effective against enemies donning armor.
Then there is the Railgun, which is a support weapon but many already believe it to be the best weapon of the game. With an ample charge, it can prove to be deteriorating to any enemy that encounters it. Helldivers should avoid pointing it to the friends given the emphasis of the developers on friendly fire in the game.
More weapons that players can use to dominate the enemies include the JAR-5 Dominator, AR-23E Liberator, R-63 Diligence, and more. However, that doesn’t go without saying players’ skills carry more weight here than the gun statistics.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Game Master Joel, who has become quite popular among the netizens, was pulling the strings in the game all along. Considering this, it will take more brains than weapons to keep the planets free from disgusting bugs and Automatons.
