The fans believe that the mangaka may have approached the same path again by featuring a submerged Onigashima on the cover of One Piece chapter 1109.
One Piece Chapter 1109 Might Provide Some Insights on Kaido
One Piece chapter 1109 featured a submerged Onigashima on its cover page. After seeing it, the fans have started to speculate that it might hold some insights into Kaido’s whereabouts. Kaido, the King of the Beast Pirates, suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Gear 5 Monkey D. Luffy. The last time he was seen was when he was defeated and fell into a lava pit. But it was never confirmed whether the King of the Beasts was dead or alive.
Big Mom Charlotte Linlin’s fate is also hanging in the same manner after suffering the same output. But with the latest One Piece chapter’s cover, the fans believe that the two Emperors of the Sea may be alive. In the cover image, Onigashima submerged near the section of old Wano where Pluton is believed to be present. Pluton has caused a large chunk of the island to get submerged below the sea.
Pluton is one of the three Ancient Weapons capable of destroying the world. So, it might be hinting that the Emperors might be alive and might be the first ones to get their hands on the Ancient Weapon. Moreover, Eiichiro Oda had mentioned he disliked killing any of his characters unless it would be absolutely good for his plot. So, there is still an ‘if’ on Kaido, and Big Mom is dead.
Eiichiro Oda Is Notoriously Good At Foreshadowing
The cover of One Piece chapter 1109 has left several questions on the fans’ minds. The Marines had tried several times to execute Kaido, but they had always failed. So, it is unlikely that a beating from Luffy and a lava bath could end his life. Apart from that, Oda sensei could also hint that Blackbeard’s next target might be the Ancient Weapon Pluto.
Fans believe Blackbeard to be the final antagonist of One Piece, and Luffy will have to face him to become the King of the Pirates. While the Straw Hats have been earning everything the hard way, Blackbeard is ambushing other pirates to gather more information and resources. He likely ambushed Trafalgar D.
