Blackbeard defeated the Heart pirates and most likely took the Road Poneglyphs.
Then they attacked the Whole Cake Island and kidnapped Pudding due to her Poneglyph reading abilities. Even though One Piece chapter 1108 is yet to be released, the spoilers point at Marshall D. Teech planning another ambush on one of the Ancient Weapons. Their next target might be Shirahoshi, who happens to be Poseidon.
Blackbeard May Directly Challenge Monkey D. Luffy
One Piece chapter 1108 spoilers revealed that two of the commanders from the Blackbeard Pirates, Catarina Devon, and Van Augur, have captured Caribou. But instead of pleading for his life, he wanted to join their crew. It is still not clear whether the two commanders would allow him to meet Marshall D. Teach, but if they allow, it could massively affect the entire One Piece story. Caribou is the only outsider who knows about Princess Shirahoshi being the ancient weapon, Poseidon.
She is the daughter of King Neptune, who rules the Ryugu Kingdom of the Fish-Man Islands. Poseidon is a mermaid who can communicate with the Sea Kings and command them. The power is currently manifested in Shirahoshi. If Caribou tells Blackbeard about her, then the Yami Yami no Mi user could decide the Ryugu Kingdom as his next destination. Kidnapping her would mean they would have the ability to command the Sea Kings.
Getting hold of one of the ancient weapons is a massive task, but seeing how the Blackbeard Pirates do evil things so smoothly, it might not be a difficult task for them. But since the Ryugu Kingdom is protected by Yonko Monkey D. Luffy, attacking the island might prove to be a direct challenge to the Straw Hats. Blackbeard does not mind angering Luffy, and he gets his wish fulfilled. Moreover, it would confirm Monkey D. Luffy vs. Marshall D. Teach in One Piece.
Caribou Holds the Key to Destruction in One Piece
Caribou is a slimy character. Since his introduction, he is seen to be a free-rider problem for the Straw Hats. As a result, he knows quite a few secrets about them. The biggest of them is the discovery of Poseidon. Passing down that information to Blackbeard is like adding gasoline to the fire. So, in a way, he would be responsible for the upcoming war that would take place.
But at the moment, it is all just a theory. One Piece chapter 1108 spoilers have provided the fans with the meeting between Caribou and the two Blackbeard commanders. It is still not clear whether they would let him meet their captain. Caribou is a type of person who would do anything to get out of danger. So, it is not farfetched to think that he would see Shirahoshi’s secret to Marshall D. Teach.
More information will be known once One Piece chapter 1108 is released. As the story is reaching its end, new and interesting things keep on happening. The Egghead Island arc is nearing its end, and the giants have already entered the arc. Without a doubt, One Piece is still a top-tier anime, even after 25 years.
