Jewelry Bonney Could Become the Next Member of the Fifth Emperor of the Sea
Before setting out, Monkey D. Luffy had decided to have ten members in his crew. Jinbei was the 9th member of the Strawhat Pirates. So, there is still a member left. At the moment, Jewelry Bonney has the best chance of joining the crew at the moment. She came to Egghead to know everything about his father’s past from Vegapunk. It was revealed that Bonney suffered from the Sapphire Scales disease and was destined to die.
But Bartholomew Kuma traveled the world to find a cure. Ultimately, he met Vegapunk and was forced to donate his body for experimentation in return for saving his daughter’s life. Kuma was one of the best characters in One Piece, and he loved people dearly but had to suffer the most. After Bonney came to know about it, she set out in search of her father at just ten years old.
Knowing how cunning the World Government was, Vegapunk gave the highest authority over the Kuma-faced Pacifistas to Bonney. Then came the Five Elders. He did it purposely since the World Government might use the Pacifistas to kill her, and knowing she won’t be able to attack her father, they would use it to their advantage. During the fight, while Vegapunk was lying down, he told Luffy to take care of Bonney knowing that the World Government would always target her.
So, Luffy might take her in to save her from everyone. She is only 12 years old and would need protection. Her Toshi Toshi no Mi would allow her to change into anything she desires. Kuma told her about the Sun God Nika, and she always dreamt about him. Now that she has seen him personally, she may willingly become a part of the Emperor’s Crew. Moreover, she has control over the Kuma-faced Pacifistas. It would be an advantage to them.
Jewelry Bonney Could Be a Key Figure For the Strawhat Pirates in Finding the One Piece
Jewelry Bonney has one of the darkest pasts in One Piece. Throughout her life, she suffered and was forced to become a pirate at the age of ten. Thanks to her and Vegapunk’s conversation, fans got to know how great Bartholomew Kuma was as a person. If Bonney joined the Strawhat Pirates, it could take them one step closer to the One Piece.
Bonney has control over all the Kuma-faced Pacifistas, and her Devil Fruit has one of the most unique abilities in One Piece. But knowing that she is just a child, Luffy would not leave her alone. There has always been a debate on who will be the 10th member of the Strawhat Pirates. Yamato, Katakuri, Kin’emon, etc., were names that were on top of the list. Vivi is an honorary member of the Strawhats, but there was never an official tenth member.
Vegapunk also wanted Luffy to take her in. She could help them escape the deadly island. Now that the Giant Pirates have joined the crew, it could be the best time for escape.
