Jamie Lee Curtis might become part of the Adaptation’s crew with the role of Dr. Kureha. This character is an older Drum Island doctor known as the “Witch” by some people. She is a mentor and adopted Tony Tony Chopper, who fans might be able to see in season 2 of Netflix’s One Piece live-action. Curtis already has a massive fan following on social media, and in her recent Instagram post, she stated clearly that she’ll hop on the role once the strikes are over.

She wrote in the caption of her Instagram post, “Once the strike against the greed of the AMTPT is settled with a fair contract, I will lobby along with the growing fan frenzy to become Doctor Kureha in [One Piece].” To this, a popular Showrunner commented under the post, “Mommy dearest, that’s why we sent you that figure! No need to lobby. Once we get what we deserve and get back to work, let’s talk!”

Owens took into account that it might actually be a possibility that Curtis ended up playing the role of Dr. Kureha in Netflix’s One Piece Second Season.

Anime is a widely appreciated medium. No one is too old to experience anime, as this 64-year-old Hollywood actress Jamie Lee Curtis. Her fans were astonished when she opened up about watching One Piece. She also shared that her favorite character is Tony Tony Chopper, the adorable and tiny doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates.

“My friend Brina Palencia does the voice of Tony Tony Chopper in the American dub,” she replied to the hosts Juju Green and Emily Uribe at the 94th Academy Awards Red Carpet interview.

She was asked what her dream role was, to which Curtis said that she wanted to play Nico Robin but felt she was a “little old” for the character. However, she expressed that she wishes to play Dr. Kureha, Chopper’s mentor and adoptive mother in the series. She told the interviewers at the 94th Academy Awards that, “She wears those really low bell bottoms,” the actress described. “She’s looking a little nasty but she has long, kind of stringy gray hair, and my Ruby said that that would be what I would play.”

If Curtis actually ends with the role of Dr. Kureha, this would be the first massive role in a live-action adaptation of an anime series, that too, her favorite anime series. Considering the vast budget that Netflix has for Oda’s masterpiece, this iconic actress might just become a part of the Straw Hats!
