The Egghead arc carries a lot of importance as it is the beginning of the final saga of the 26-year-old journey of Luffy and his crew, while the Wano arc gave us some of the most iconic moments in all of One Piece. Although it’s a neck-to-neck battle, Egghead emerges on top and is overall much better than the Wano arc.

Wano arc was good, but Egghead was overall the better arc in One Piece

If you ever want to experience what the pinnacle of anime looks like, then there is no better pick for you than One Piece. The story written by Eiichiro Oda has been the peak of anime ever since it was started.

Oda sensei started penning this masterpiece in 1998, and the story has managed to seal his place in the books as the most excellent manga writer ever, with no one coming close to him in terms of storytelling.

Now that we are approaching the end of such a masterpiece, fans are pondering which is the better arc, Wano or Egghead. This might seem like a very tough question, but Egghead comes out on top due to numerous reasons.

The storyline of the Egghead arc manages to allure viewers. The epicenter of the plot is Dr. Vegapunk, who is currently residing on Egghead Island, also known as Future Island. He tried to be sneaky and was researching Void Century, and through a tip, the World Government chose to send a CP0 team to kill Vegapunk.

The backstory behind the Wano arc was based on Kaidou and Oden; however, it didn’t manage to immerse the audience; issues such as lousy pacing, unnatural fights, and character introductions took the fun away in Wano.

It is too long at the beginning, has too many side characters, questionable narrative choices, chaotic back and forth, a controversial power-up that hurts the dramatic tone, and is too rushed.

You might probably be aware of the change in animation style for the Egghead arc, and fans are loving it so far.

The Egghead arc provides insights into many mysteries, such as Devil Fruit’s and Black Beard’s origins. Also, it has fantastic fights such as Garp vs. Black Beard Pirates, Sanji vs. Kizaru, etc., making it enjoyable overall and much better than Wano.

What’s happening in One Piece?

If you are a manga reader, you might already know how fierce each and every chapter has been recently, with the latest chapters foreshadowing an impending battle between Luffy and Black Beard. Yes, you have heard it right. The long-awaited clash between these two giants might be edging very close to us.

The recent chapters revealed that Black Beard pirates, particularly Catarina Devon and Van Augur, have captured Caribou, who has made up his mind to join them. If he ends up joining them, he will surely reveal to them that Princess Shirahoshi is the ancient weapon of Poseidon.

The moment this news falls on Black Beard ears, the Yami Yami no Mi user could decide on the Ryugu Kingdom as his next destination, and since the destination is under the protection of Luffy, it would lead to a battle between those two.

It is often assumed that Black Beard will be the final opponent of Luffy, and this might be Oda sensei’s way of telling us about what’s going to happen.
