South Korean Actor Rain Fits Perfectly for the Role of Kakashi in Naruto Live-Action

Rain is a singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, and record producer from South Korea. Rain first appeared as the movie’s main character in the 2009 film Ninja Assassin, playing Raizo. The film was directed by James McTeigue, who worked as an assistant director on the Matrix trilogy from 1999 to 2003 and also produced The Matrix Resurrections. 

Rain portrays a disillusioned assassin seeking revenge on his old mentor. Rain received the Biggest Badass Award at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards for his performance. In the Hollywood Industry, Rain has majorly worked in similar roles involving fights and battles which makes him the ideal fit for the Naruto Live-Action movie.

While the cast of the live-action adaptation is unknown, the recent revelation about Destin Daniel Cretton directing and writing the movie has shocked Naruto fans. Cretton’s best-known films include Short Term 12 (2013), The Glass Castle (2017), Just Mercy (2019), and the Marvel Studios picture Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). He has built quite a big portfolio as one of the leading directors in Hollywood.

Along with producers Avi Arad, Ari Arad, and Emmy Yu of Arad Productions, Cretton additionally works together as a co-producer via his firm, Hisako, alongside Jeyun Munford. The adaptation has been in production with Lionsgate since late 2015, and Cretton’s appointment marks a huge step forward in getting it to the motion picture industry. 

The fact that Cretton was appointed implies that Tasha Huo, who was originally supposed to write the Naruto movie, would no longer do so. Cretton’s involvement in the live-action adaptation of Naruto certainly makes it bigger than it already was.
