New Release Update on Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3
TheWrap recently reported that despite Deadpool 3‘s current May 3, 2024 release date being pushed back due to the ongoing actors’ strike, Marvel Studios intends to stick with it.
Insiders shared that Deadpool is one of several tentpole franchises that will rule the production pipeline once SAG-AFTRA ends its strike and Hollywood resumes regular operations. TheWrap was informed by a top agent that:
“The immediate priority for all studios is to get the movies that were shut down in mid-production up and running again.”
Another top priority for studios is the eighth Mission: Impossible film, followed by Beetlejuice 2 and Captain America: Brave New World. The production of this movie and several other MCU films had to be suspended until Hollywood’s writers and actors reached agreements on fair pay. TheWrap was informed by a distribution executive:
“There’s no precedent, in terms of contractual obligation, for what films get started or restarted first.”
Fans Are Convinced That Only Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 Can Save MCU
Ryan Reynolds‘ portrayal of Deadpool has become enduring among fans all over the world. You can not help but feel that without him, the MCU may run the risk of losing the distinct Deadpool essence that fans adore.
The fact that Deadpool successfully combines action, comedy, and a dash of gore has been a key factor in fans’ conviction that only the Canadian-American actor can save the MCU from impending disaster. Apparently, only Deadpool 3 is the “ONLY MCU film” that anyone is interested in, according to one fan, who tweeted:

Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, and Ryan Reynolds collaborated with Shawn Levy to write the Deadpool 3’s script. The film also stars Hugh Jackman, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jennifer Garner.
