Although the numbers exceeded by Avengers: Endgame to include multiple leaders and their armies in the pack, the original band of Marvel’s superheroes that has all of fans’ love and respect is the one introduced at the very start, in the first Avengers movie. This is why when they disbanded by the end of Endgame, fans were heartbroken and eagerly looking forward to seeing them reunite.

But it seems that those times of patiently waiting, and waiting, and waiting have come to an end now, considering how all six of the fan favorites have reportedly reunited for one project — one from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, at that — to reprise their respective roles from the 2012 blockbuster. And yes, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Evans are in on this project too!

Ever since Robert Downey Jr.‘s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson‘s Black Widow sacrificed themselves to save humanity and Chris Evans‘ Captain America passed down the shield (and the mantle along with it) to Anthony Mackie in Endgame, fans had been desperately awaiting some way for the original Avengers to reunite.

After almost half a decade since the 2019 super-blockbuster, it seems the way to make them come together back again has been finally found: Through a collaboration for all six of them to dub the original 2012 masterpiece from the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the Lakota language; initiated by none other than our beloved Mark Ruffalo.

As reported by a fan on X (@____ee____), the genius Hulk portrayer “helped in introducing a Native sound studio for dubbing ‘The Avengers’ in Lakota language.” Initially, it was reported that Ruffalo, Downey Jr., and Johansson had contributed to the project and that they were “overdubbing the whole movie in Lakota language.”

Further reports (via @____ee____ on X) claimed that this news has been confirmed and that this dubbing project originally started last year in May 2023. Adding to the three already listed above, Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner were involved in the project as well, reportedly discussing the same through a Zoom meeting.

In another clip attached via threads to this tweet, Mark Ruffalo can be seen sharing on a podcast some other names who have played parts in helping with the project, including Chris Evans and Don Cheadle.

For those who don’t know, Lakota (the language in which the film is getting dubbed) is a language spoken by the Native American tribes. So there you have it: The original Avengers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe from 2012 reunited for the very same project, only in a different language!

These Reports Have Been Confirmed: Fans Can Expect This Version By April 2024!

In an exclusive interview with Buffalo’s Fire, the Grey Willow Music Studios & Production team, which was in charge of this dubbing project, confirmed these reports to reveal that Marvel’s The Avengers is indeed getting its own dubbed version in Lakota, and it is scheduled to be released by April 2024.

Claiming that Mark Ruffalo was indeed “a huge help” in the making of this project — the idea of which was initially said as a joke; it took reportedly close to 15 months for the team to dub the original 2012 masterpiece from English to the Lakota-Dakota language. For this, 62 hired Lakota-Dakota language speakers helped in the translation and recording of the script.

Adding to this are the reports that the Lakota dubbing is complete for the movie, and the only thing remaining is the execution of a plan that includes doing a special recording of the original six Avengers where they will “act in a scene and speak their lines in Lakota.” These recordings will reportedly take place by early February in California.

Well, for what it’s worth, fans are already swooning in excitement for this project that brought together their favorite original band of Marvel superheroes together once again, even if it was for the mere dubbing of their own already existing movie!
