Mark Ruffalo’s significant other in the MCU, The Hulk, did not appear for the rest of Avengers: Infinity War. Having some emotional problems with Bruce Banner. Hulk and Banner get into a fight right when Ruffalo’s character is in the Hulkbuster fighting the Children of Thanos.
Well, a deleted scene reveals that the studio was considering giving a glimpse of Smart Hulk during the fight. With Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner and The Hulk fighting verbally and finally turning into Smart Hulk, the scene is truly iconic.
Mark Ruffalo’s Deleted Scene Could Have Shown Smart Hulk
Throughout the majority of Avengers: Infinity War, we don’t see The Hulk fighting at all. Despite being one of the strongest Avengers, glimpses of the Hulk denying Bruce Banner to come out and fight are shown, and it was somewhat annoying till a certain point.
Well, to counter the Hulk problem, Mark Ruffalo (as Bruce Banner) commandeers the Hulkbuster and fights off Thanos’ army during the end of Infinity War. The Hulkbuster gets involved in a 1v1 with Cull Obsidian (the big bad dude in Thanos’ army), and yet, Hulk refuses to fight. In a deleted scene shared on X (formerly Twitter), a glimpse of Smart Hulk is shown, and he is… pretty smart!

Although the fight is almost the same as the on-screen fight shown in Avengers: Infinity War, the major difference is that in the movie, it was Hulkbuster who straps his boot to the leg of Cull Obsidian and in the deleted scene, it is Smart Hulk who does the feat. Not making a big difference to the movie, the people still wonder that it would have been good to show a glimpse of Smart Hulk in the film rather than close him away at all costs.
Mark Ruffalo Could Bring Alaqua Cox’s Echo Into The Avengers!
Being an actor with a care for the world, Mark Ruffalo is an activist who is constantly trying to make the world a better place. With Alaqua Cox portraying the role of Maya Lopez in the recently released MCU series Echo, the actress revealed to Deadline that Ruffalo is a huge advocate for indigenous people.
“Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if Maya joined the Avengers. I think it would be so amazing to cross paths with other superheroes. I would love that. I think would be very fun. I think it to be great to work with Mark Ruffalo, the Hulk.”
She further continued,
“I love him as an actor and a person because Mark is a huge advocate for Indigenous women. And he’s from Wisconsin, and I’m from Wisconsin. So we have that in common. But Mark is just an amazing advocate for women, and I think it’d be amazing to work with him.”
The actor recently found fame and the spotlight again for portraying the role of Duncan Wedderburn in the iconic 2023 film Poor Things and Daniel LeBlanc in All The Light We Cannot See. Mark Ruffalo is currently associated with four upcoming projects, and sadly, none of them are from the MCU… yet.
