Recently, Mayumi Tanaka, Monkey D. Luffy’s voice actor, was seen with other voice artists. While most of them were familiar, the fans could not recognize one of them. Since then, there has been an ongoing debate on social media that it might be one of the mysterious characters, who is yet to be revealed. The only character that came to everyone’s mind was Imu-sama.
Imu-sama’s Gender Has Been Revealed
Imu-sama is the one who sits on the World Throne, and the the Gorosei are directly under his control. It was a shocker to every One Piece fan to see someone more powerful than the Gorosei, in strength and authority. It has been a few hundred chapters since Imu-sama’s first appearance, but none have been able to figure out their gender. But Mayumi Tanaka’s latest picture might have answered the biggest question about Imu-sama.

In the picture, Mayumi Tanaka and several other voice actors were seen posing towards the camera. Apart from Luffy’s voice actor, there was Wapol’s voice actor, Nefertari Cobra’s voice actor, and some of the Gorosei’s voice actors, but there was another person who was unrecognized by the fandom. With One Piece episode 1119 knocking on the door, fans believe it might be Imu-sama’s voice actor. Since the voice actor is a male, Imu might be a male as well.
There were several fan theories about Imu-sama being a female, but the latest picture might have proved otherwise. Imu-sama will make an appearance in the upcoming episodes, and it might be one of the reasons to believe the theory. There have been instances of female voice actors giving voice to males, including Monkey D. Luffy and Son Goku, but not vice versa. Ultimately, everything falls on Eiichiro Oda.

Even though it is still not confirmed whether Imu-sama is male or female, there is a pretty good chance that they might be the former. The picture was shot after the recording session of One Piece episode 1119. The mysterious leader is supposed to make an appearance in the upcoming episodes. But until the episode releases, everything will remain a speculation.
