It has only been over a week since Palworld was released on Xbox and PC, and since its release, it has been a massive hit with the gaming community and has blown many records out of the water.
However, there are still some issues within the game, whether they be small glitches that allow the player to T-pose across the map or catch certain Pals that aren’t supposed to be catchable. But one thing that gamers are torn about is the fact that cheaters are already present within the game and are ruining the experience for some, and the developers have provided some details on what they will do about this.
What Have the Developers Behind Palworld Said About the Cheaters That Are Plaguing the Game?
As of January 25th, the developers Pocketpair have released a statement on the official Palworld Twitter/X account in which they discuss the current cheater issue that is plaguing Palworld‘s public servers and is getting out of hand.
In this statement, Pocketpair has made it very clear that it’s currently working on a patch that’ll hopefully tackle these cheaters in some way. Whether that be by removing these cheaters from the official servers into their own private servers, banning them from the game, or just removing their resources that they earned through cheating.
However, until more information is released about the upcoming patch that is being developed by Pocketpair, we don’t know how it’ll affect the future of the game and its player base, but it’s safe to say that cheaters are very frowned upon, especially in a multiplayer game.
Pocketpair has also issued its apologies to the gaming community for these issues that are taking place within Palworld, even though they aren’t necessarily the fault of the developer. It’s a good sign that the developers are willing to take care of their players rather than just ignore them.
What Does the Palworld Community Think About This Response From the Developers?
As always, there’s a divide within the gaming community, as there are those who support the cheaters while there are those who believe that it’s entirely ruining the game. There are arguments for both sides of the situation, but sadly, no one will ever agree on what is right.
At the moment, there are a small group of players who feel that cheaters will always be present in any type of game, whether that be in a single-player game or multiplayer. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that when they cheat, it won’t affect other people, which is one of the main complaints regarding the cheaters in Palworld.
According to the other group of players, there’s currently a cheat going around that is allowing cheaters to steal players’ Pals from right under their noses. This can be quite an annoying and upsetting cheat, as players who have spent hours to days grinding for some of their best Pals will lose them in an instant to someone who can’t be bothered grinding.
However, this is a lead argument from the cheaters, as they say that there are some gamers who sadly don’t have the time to spend playing games and grinding for hours to get the best Pals, so it’s completely fair to allow them to cheat to balance out the board.
What makes this such a difficult topic at the moment is the fact that Palworld has recently revealed its roadmap for the next year, and one of the announcements was that PvP will be coming to the game in a future update.
If players will still have the ability to steal Pals from another player in the form of cheating, then this could ultimately cause the game to fall through, as many players will likely refuse to play the game in an attempt to save their Pals and accounts from being stolen.
