Lindsay Lohan appeared in an interview with Allure and discussed her hair and makeup experiences throughout her career. She discussed her appearances in various movie roles and events she had attended. As Lohan listed out the various looks she had tried on, she also recalled her early interest in makeup, learning about it at a very young age due to her freckles.

Lohan revealed that her schoolmates used to tease her about her freckles. She desperately sought ways to hide the freckles and hence learned how to use foundation. Her family tried reassuring Lohan that she was beautiful with the freckles, however, peer pressure got the better of her. The Canyons actress shared with Allure:

“When I was younger and when I was in school, people would make fun of my freckles. So I always wanted to find out how I could use foundation and how I could cover them up, and what makeup was good for that. And my mom and my family would always say like, ‘Your freckles are beautiful, they’re angel kisses,” but you don’t believe that when you’re a kid. You’re like, no.”

Peer pressure took a toll on the Just My Luck actress, eventually leading her down a self-destructive path of drug and alcohol use. In 2007, she was arrested twice on DUI charges, with the second arrest also involving possession of cocaine. In 2010, Lohan was incarcerated after violating the terms of her probation. It took some time for the Machete actress to recover from her issues.
