Even though Season 2 isn’t officially confirmed, Rick Riordan shared that they had already started doing some early writing for it. This happened even before Percy Jackson premiered on Disney+. The information was listed on the Writers Guild of America West in the summer of 2023.
In a recent Q&A session of Goodreads, Rick Riordan, the creator of the Percy Jackson novels, said:
“Our job will be to build on a solid foundation. I think we’re off to an excellent start, but there are always things we can do better. If we get the second season underway, we will have lots of conversations about what we can improve.”
Riordan said that he’s looking for “ways to accentuate Percy’s voice and humor” and balance “keeping the pacing tight” with adding “world-building basics.”
