Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is an upcoming superhero game set during the Second World War with the Black Panther, king of Wakanda leaps from one rooftop to another in Occupied Paris as he allies with the star-spangled man with a plan, Captain America. Together these heroes along with their trusted allies will thwart Hydra’s rise to power.
Developed by the creator of the Uncharted franchise, Amy Hennig, and Skydance New Media, this project is in collaboration with Marvel Games and will deliver on the promise of having a linear and cinematic story based on these iconic heroes. The trailer captivated fans and it took some sharp ears to realize that these two are not the only superpowered beings that will appear in the game.
Captain America And Black Panther Will Team Up Against Another Super-Soldier in Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra
There is a tendency for details to be hidden in plain sight but viewers are too distracted by the awesome visuals, however, some fans have sharp ears and nothing can get over their heads like the fact that Howard mentioned that there is a third super-powered individual in Paris.

Perhaps this will be a situation where both heroes are sent by their respective countries to investigate and neutralize the threat and throughout the game, Black Panther and Captain America will clash and form an uneasy alliance as they realize they are both on the same side regardless of countries of origin.
The Marvel lore has had a strong focus on enhanced individuals, there are countless possibilities of who the third super soldier can be and given the setting in the timeline, the game just made it easier to narrow down the potential candidates.
Who Is The Third Super Soldier In Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra?
This game could be a redemption for the massive disappointment and failure of Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers, and a step in the right direction for the game structure. Hennig’s history is very straightforward and linear, accompanied by a compelling story and heavy focus on combat, this game has the potential of being another great Marvel story.
Given the prominent highlighting of Hydra, perhaps the third super soldier could be the Red Skull himself as he sets out to rule the world under the iron fist of Hydra. Hennig has the opportunity to pull out the heartstrings of fans if she manages to creatively integrate the Winter Soldier this early on in the character’s history as well.
The Marvel universe is full of connecting threads, and video games can give more obscure characters and storylines the spotlight by properly exploring them without time constraints. Skydance New Media could put some of their creative spin on these characters. A very common trope that was also present in Marvel’s Spider-Man games made by Insomniac Games, the writers can mix and match ideas with their own for something new and fresh.
