As we get closer to the State of Play later this evening, PlayStation Plus has announced in the PlayStation Blog a few of the games you will be able to download for free with the PlayStation Plus subscription. You will be able to download the free games on February 6, 2024. Some will say that the line-up is very underwhelming, along with previous months.

Not many people would turn down a free game, but many PlayStation Plus users are growing increasingly frustrated with the lack of quality games within the PlayStation Plus subscription. Will PlayStation up their game and include some games fans will be happy with?

As mentioned, many PlayStation Plus users are unhappy with the lack of quality games, but here is what will be downloadable on February 6. Foamstars, Rollerdrome, and Steelrising are a line-up you would look at, and many have probably never heard of these games, but here is what to expect if you choose to download them.

Foamstars is a new 4v4 online party shooter. You will use foam to build surfaces that are slippery to speed around the arena or to create vantage points around the arena to take out your opponents. There are a variety of characters to choose from These are colorful and quirky athletes each foamstar uses their own unique foam gun and skill set to fight opponents in a variety of game modes.

Rollerdome was released on August 16, 2022 This action video game was developed by Roll7 and published by Private Division. While playing Rollerdrome you must perform roller-skating tricks while fighting against enemies with guns. This is done from a third-person perspective as you battle it out with your enemies. You will regain ammo by completing tricks while skating through various stages, and you will gain any lost health by picking up health packs from eliminated enemies. As players complete levels, they will gradually unlock new and more powerful weapons.

Steelrising is a third-person action role-playing game that was developed by Spiders, produced by Nacon, and released in September 2023. In this alternate version of the French Revolution, King Louis XVI rules Paris with fear and a clockwork automaton’s army. As you progress through the game, you will need to defeat enemies and collect the Anima Essence they will drop, which will be used to upgrade players weapons and skills. This can only be done at a vestal checkpoint, where your character can rest and regain any lost health.

Many of the PlayStation Plus players are starting to feel hard done by, saying that Xbox gets a better variety of games on the game pass than on PlayStation Plus. Not only do you get more games with Game Pass, you also get better quality and day-one releases on the Xbox. Not all fans are happy, but some of the fans will say both subscriptions are worth the money. PlayStation Plus normally offers a variety of indie games, while Xbox Game Pass offers a Netflix-like library of games that you can access at any time, which includes day-one releases.
