Microsoft has started an initiative that will allow Xbox games to be played on rival platforms like the Nintendo Switch, and Sony’s PlayStation, and among the first batch of titles is Hi-Fi Rush. The game was developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks which is now owned by Microsoft, thus making every future project an Xbox exclusive, however, Microsoft isn’t interested in gatekeeping games on either PC or their flagship console anymore.
Games should be played on any platform, regardless of whatever console a player has. Console exclusivity can be a pain in the neck for people who are interested in trying something different, each company offers its unique features like PlayStation’s haptic feedback on the DualSense, Nintendo’s creative joy-cons, and Xbox’s power, but there are just some aspects that could make the experience far more premium like Hi-Fi Rush on the PlayStation 5.
Xbox Fanboys Are Upset Over Positive Reviews Of Hi-Fi Rush On The PlayStation 5
Ports can be a hit-and-miss type of situation, some games could run better than originally envisioned thanks to the incredible horsepower of a console and while some should have been left alone, Hi-Fi Rush took full advantage of the PS5 SSD and the haptic feedback of the DualSense.
Of course, it's better on PlayStation

Users on X were unsurprised that the game would run even better than the original platform but others took the opportunity to fan the flames even hotter.
Of course Xbox fans get shafted and PS5 gets the best version 😂😂

While it is a good sign to see Hi-Fi Rush being praised by PlayStation users and to know that it was optimized greatly, some Xbox fans detest the improvement for a reason that could be pure jealousy but it didn’t bother gamers at all and are looking forward to try it for themselves.
Coming to PlayStation Best Place to Play 💙

Hi-Fi Rush isn’t the only Xbox title to receive a port, the first batch consists of Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, and Grounded are all coming to rival platforms.
The idea of ending exclusivity can be dangerous, but also beneficial in some ways. Exclusive games are assets that can give competitors an edge against the rest but in hindsight, it is a massive inconvenience for those who can only invest in one platform.
The Console Wars Will Only Get Worse Before It Gets Better Because Of Xbox Users
Microsoft’s generosity could have some ulterior motives, perhaps they thought by sharing their exclusive titles with other platforms that they would be repaid in the same kind. Xbox fans have been begging for Helldivers 2 to come to their console but it seems like Microsoft is giving more than they take with rumors suggesting Starfield is coming to the PS5 later this year.
Xbox could be using their games as a bargaining chip to get something in return, an indication of how desperate they are to keep up with the console wars, and given the fact that Hi-Fi Rush runs even better than it did on their hardware could be another sign to forfeit and shift focus to somewhere else.
