WWE legend Mick Foley hit up social media, asking the wrestling bigwigs to rethink their link-up with controversial YouTuber Logan Paul. The 58-year-old’s not feeling it because WWE’s gone and plastered the American influencer’s PRIME logo all over the wrestling mat, thanks to their new partnership with Paul’s PRIME hydration.

This move has got fans and wrestling folks grumbling, and Foley’s not keeping quiet about it. His say-so carries weight in the wrestling world, so this call-out might stir up more talk about where the line is between mainstream entertainment and pro wrestling and what WWE’s getting into with these partnerships.

Wrestling Legend Urges WWE To Ditch PRIME Ring Mat Sponsorship

A big-time wrestler is telling WWE to ditch their plan of slapping Prime logos all over the ring mats. People have been buzzing about it since WWE teamed up with Prime Hydration.

This Hall of Famer wants WWE to cancel the deal to feature Prime as the ring mat sponsor for all the top-notch live events.

Logan Paul, the United States Champion, spilled the beans on SmackDown that Prime would be the ring mat sponsor for all the Premium Live Events, starting with WrestleMania 40.

While this might rake in the dough for WWE, fans aren’t thrilled, and Paul had to address it on his podcast, imPAULsive. He said,

“Getting that center ring spot is interesting. It’s more positive reviews, but I think the die hard wrestling fans are really upset…We saw an opportunity, and potentially an opportunity to make people hate me even more, because I am a heel, that’s kind of the angle I took. F**k y’all, I’m going to stamp everything about this with me so you’re reminded of just what my aim is; to takeover.”

After Paul’s spiel, WWE legend Mick Foley took to Instagram, begging WWE to scrap the whole plan. Joining the social media storm, Foley posted a pic on his Instagram of his epic Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker in ’98, but with a Prime logo right in the middle of the ring.

He captioned the post “PLEASE DON’T.”

Mat sponsorships are nothing new in UFC, WWE’s partner company, and WWE has been big on sponsors lately, like Cinnamon Toast Crunch at WrestleMania 39 and C4 Energy at SummerSlam. This whole deal sparks more talk about where wrestling meets mainstream entertainment.

But hey, the disappointment isn’t just from Foley; even boxing star Ryan Garcia ain’t thrilled about this partnership.

Ryan Garcia didn’t hold back when talking about WWE teaming up with Logan Paul’s PRIME. The 25-year-old, who’s known for speaking his mind, gave a tough review of their partnership, pointing out its problems.

WWE recently announced that they’re joining forces with Paul’s PRIME Hydration. This means PRIME will get top billing at big WWE events like WrestleMania and Money in the Bank.

It’s a big deal, the largest sponsorship WWE has ever had. But not everyone’s cheering. Garcia wasn’t impressed, and he made sure to say so on Twitter. He compared PRIME to alcohol, saying,

“The difference between alcohol and Prime is one says it can kill you the other claims it’s healthy meanwhile it’s killing you.”

His honest opinion adds to the growing criticism of Paul’s projects, like PRIME.
