Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is the first open-world role-playing title in the popular series that was released back in November 2022 for Nintendo Switch and has been loved by the fans of the franchise. The game became the fastest-selling game in the franchise and has continued to add new content for players.

The developer announced The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for the game with a connected story but in two expansions, Part 1: The Teal Mask and Part 2: The Indigo Disk with over 230 Pokemon from previous games coming with the expansion. The latest expansion is now available and has brought four new Pokemon for players to capture.

The first part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, The Teal Mask was released on September 13 and saw players visiting the Kitakami region on a school trip where they met new people and discovered the secrets of the place. The first expansion added Okidogi, Munkidori, Fezandipiti, Legendary Ogerpon, and Dipplin, which is a new evolution for Applin from Gen 8.

The second part, The Indigo Disk released today, December 14, and continues the story of the first expansion and will see players visiting Blueberry Academy as exchange students and will conclude the storyline of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Players will explore Area Zero, the biomes of Blueberry Academy, and engage in battles in the BB league.

The Indigo Disk expansion adds four new Pokemon for players to capture. These include Terapagos, Raging Bolt, Iron Crown, and Archaludon. Terapagos, the turtle Pokemon will be playing an important part in the story of the expansion, but much hasn’t been known about it so far. Raging Bolt and Iron Crown are new Paradox Pokemon that arrive in the expansion and will be exclusive to Scarlet and Violet respectively.

Raging Bolt is an Electric and Dragon type and Iron Crown is Steel and Psychic type. Iron Crown is based on Cobalion and will be the counterpart to Raging Bolt. Archaludon is a new evolution of Duraludon is a Steel and Dragon-type and was first seen Sword and Shield but has not had an evolution until now. In the latest expansion, players will also be able to take new classes at Blueberry Academy and engage in battles at BB League. They will be able to go up against Elite Four consisting of Lacey, Crispin, Amarys, and Drayton. Players will need to complete Elite Trails before they can fight the Elite Four.

The Indigo Disk will also allow players to spend time at The League Club where players can customize and work on their Poké Ball throwing style and meet Gym Leaders to learn about them. The trainers will also mentor the players in battles. Players will also be able to use the Synchro Machine which will let them by taking over their body.

Players would be able to explore the in-game world as the Pokemon and even battle other monsters while their character will be stationary. However, exploring is limited so you might not go much far.

They can also unlock Koraidon or Miraidon’s flying abilities after completing Amarys’ Elite Trail which might allow players to explore more areas. Moreover, players can also bring Pokemon from the Pokemon Home app or ones they have got via trades.
