The rumors are saying that Sony wants to start selling this console by the end of the year, or more specifically, the holidays. Sources are saying that first-party studios from PlayStation have been testing the development kit for the PS5 Pro for months.
Xbox could be in trouble if Sony launches the PS5 Pro during the holidays
Many rumors were circulating on the internet about the possible technical specifications of the PS5 Pro. The console’s code name is “Trinity,” and the sources are saying that this console will be three times faster than the normal PS5. Sony is making sure that the PS5 Pro can support 8K resolutions and a new kind of rendering that will be much faster than ever. Better use of the raytracing, being two to four times better than the classic PS5. The console wants to improve FPS and 4K resolutions.
Moore’s Law Is Dead on YouTube first made this specification public, and then other highly influential people like Tom Warren from The Verge picked it up and confirmed its accuracy. According to the leaks, the PS5 Pro will have 33,5 teraflops—more than three times the amount that the current version has and triple that of the Xbox Series X.
The console will have a native technology called PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling) for upscaling and anti-aliasing solutions.

The PS5 Pro could change the console market forever
Among the other new things that PS5 Pro will have been the AI Accelerator, which will support 300 TOPS of 8-bit computation and 67 Teraflops of 16-bit floating point, making the console even more powerful. The console will also have some kind of machine-learning architecture. There is no range price yet, but according to the leaks, first- and third-party companies have already been working with the development kits for months.
According to Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming, the PS5 Pro model dev kit has been available for first-party studios since September of last year. The YouTuber that leak this information have not always been accurate with the information, but Henderson had an internal source from Sony saying that all this is true. The PS5 Pro could be a giant leap from the classic PS5.
