There’s no stopping Arrowhead’s smash hit Helldivers 2, as the live-service game seems to be getting bigger and better with each passing day. The developer and its CEO, Johan Pilestedt, have been quite busy constantly trying to get fresh content out for their player base, thanks to which the title stays ridiculously fun and interesting.

Sometimes, the new additions in Helldivers 2, like the highly anticipated mechs, are announced days before their actual arrival into the game, but with the latest drop, Arrowhead knew that it was something that fans would probably appreciate in the galactic fight against the Terminids and Automatons, so it sneakily introduced it into the title.

Super Earth’s Enemies Are Not Ready for the Latest Helldivers 2 Stratagems

There is about to be pure chaos for the once-deadly Automatons in Helldivers 2.

Arrowhead Game Studios took to the official Helldivers 2 X account to announce the arrival of some much-needed “support” that will ensure the player base’s victory against the enemy armies of Super Earth.

Although weapons like the overpowered Railgun had the potential to be the go-to option for players, the latest addition of Stratagems is set to change that, as the developer has now thrown in the LAS-99 Quasar Cannon and the MG-101 Heavy Machine Gun into the mix. It seems like Arrowhead Game Studios has realized that defeating the Automaton horde is not exactly an easy task, so sending reinforcements like these to Helldivers 2 is definitely a welcome surprise.

It is important to note that both of these new Helldivers 2 Stratagems have to be called in three seconds while also keeping track of the cooldown timer that accompanies them, which is essentially an eight-minute window. Of course, they come with their own unlock costs as well, with the LAS-99 Quasar Cannon priced at 7,500 Requisition and the MG-101 Heavy Machine Gun costing 6,000.

Both of these weapons are strong in their own distinct ways, but it is the Quasar Cannon that should prove to be extra helpful to take care of the Automaton armies, thanks to its “powerful, explosive energy burst.”

Helldivers 2 Players Are Naturally Ecstatic About the New Stratagems

The Ministry of Defence is always coming through for the soldiers in Helldivers 2.

As Arrowhead Game Studios unleashed the new Stratagems “for immediate battlefield distribution” in Helldivers 2, the reaction from the players has been quite positive because of the anticipation that followed the arrival of a potential “heavy machine gun.”

One player summed it up simply and perfectly, stating, “What’s better than gun? Bigger gun,” as the MG-101 is basically a heavier variation of another weapon in the game, the Stalwart.

It may not be the easiest to carry or reload during intense firefights, but it can take down plenty of enemies in Helldivers 2 much more quickly.
