There are plenty of reasons why Helldivers 2 has proved to be such a hit among the gaming community, ranging from excellent co-op gameplay to stunning visuals, but one aspect makes it stand out from the rest of the live-service titles of recent times.

The inclusion of Major Orders is a genius idea by Arrowhead to give players a sense of unity and collaboration, as they require various objectives to be completed in a limited period and have drastic effects on where the game proceeds from there.

However, combined with some patch issues, the latest Major Order seems impossible to carry out, and Helldivers 2 fans think that their failure may be what the developer intended.

Maybe Arrowhead Wants Players to Fail the Latest Helldivers 2 Major Order

The latest Major Order seems impossible, but maybe that is what is required for the next phase in Helldivers 2.
The latest Major Order seems impossible, but maybe that’s what’s required for the next phase in Helldivers 2.

To explain what Major Orders are to the uninitiated, they are goals that the Helldivers 2 community has to work towards as a collective to achieve, with Arrowhead constantly coming up with more objectives like these to keep its game as fresh as possible.

It has all been fine and dandy until now, but the latest Major Order by the developer doesn’t seem like it was meant to be overcome by the players.

Arrowhead wants Helldivers 2 players to liberate two planets to complete the new mission, Fori Prime and Zagon Prime, but the twist is that the former requires Estanu and the latter needs Hellmire and Nivel-43 to be liberated first.

That makes a total of five planets that the Helldivers 2 player base had to liberate in just three days, which is pretty difficult to do on its own, but with the new patch that Arrowhead Game Studios released for the game, it is straight up out of the question.

This has sparked numerous conversations among the fanbase, leading it to believe that the developer wanted this to happen, which might mean that the next phase is right around the corner.

The latest Helldivers 2 patch is causing the title to crash or black out because of various errors, resulting in players not receiving their hard-earned medals either.

Arrowhead Game Studios Could Be Gearing up for the Next Helldivers 2 Phase

Helldivers 2 players might want to brace themselves for new content after failing the current Major Order.
Helldivers 2 players might want to brace themselves for new content after failing the current Major Order.

The Helldivers 2 player base has successfully completed almost every Major Order that Arrowhead Game Studios has thrown its way, so it would make sense for the developer to stop it in its tracks to introduce new content.

In fact, some members of the community have already started coming across a fresh enemy type in the form of flying Terminids, and accompanied by random blue lasers, Johan Pilestedt and his team seem to have a lot more in store.

Do you think that the high difficulty of the current Helldivers 2 Major Order was intentional, or should Super Earth’s soldiers improve their skills? Let us know in the comments!
