The Valorant Esports Champions Tour 2024 season details have been revealed by Riot Games, and next year, the Challengers competitions will span throughout the year. Challengers and Ascension tournaments take center stage next season, which will provide a platform for aspiring players to reach higher levels on the Valorant Champions Tour.

The Tier-One leagues and international tournaments are as follows, as the Challengers competitions have been scheduled to run throughout the year. The kick-off tournaments for the EMEA, China, Americas, and Pacific leagues are scheduled to be held in January and February.

March will see the first Valorant Masters event being held in the city of Madrid, which will set the tone for the first of two Masters events. April will witness the Stage 1 events for the Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China leagues.

The second Valorant Masters event will see the tournament head to China for the first time, with the event taking place in the city of Shanghai in May 2024. Stage 2 events will be held in June, while the Valorant Champions will continue in August. The Valorant Game Changers Championship 2024 is scheduled for November.

The Tier-two system will also include non-franchised teams from all four major regions, which will showcase player talents on an international stage, giving them a shot at making it into the international leagues.

For the Valorant Challengers Circut, the schedule is packed between February and December, starting with the Challengers Split 1 Playoffs to be held between February and April. Between May and July, the Challengers Split 2 Playoffs are scheduled, while September will see Challengers Ascension events, with the off-season Challengers League taking place between October and December.

The Challengers 2025 Season Will Kick Off in October, With Policies in Place

Next year’s Challengers 2025 will kick off by October 2024, with the earlier start aimed at providing enough time for Ascension winners to prepare for the start of the international leagues as Riot Games looks to minimize gaps in the calendar.

New affiliate partnerships will help International League teams build partnerships with Challenger and Game Changer teams while also gaining the ability to implement two-way players. Affiliate partnerships with Challenger teams are restricted to the same region, but no such restrictions are in place when partnering with Game Changers.

Two-way players will attempt to resolve last year’s issues, which saw substitute players being signed to International League rosters but not getting any play time in the competition. By introducing two-way players, players who don’t get a chance to play full-time can also get into the Affiliate Partner Team’s roster in Challengers and Game Changers. This will let the players gain valuable competitive experience rather than watch the competition from the sidelines.

Player loans are also being introduced to help two-way players gain more experience, as International League teams will be able to loan players to Challengers and Game Changers teams. Once loaned, the players may not be able to get back to their International League teams until the loan period is over.

There are no restrictions on players being tied to any one affiliate partnerships system, allowing them to choose from more than one destination to be loaned to.
