Rise of the Ronin, the action-role-playing title from Team Ninja, was released in March this year and has received mostly positive reviews. The game did not make much of an impact, but it has managed to sell well and faster than other games from the developer, such as Nioh and Nioh 2.
Another PlayStation title, Ghost of Tsushima, has also been released on PC and is making waves again. But it seems like Rise of the Ronin is going to take over that, as it has announced a huge update that will be coming to the game next week.
Rise of the Ronin Is Getting a Huge Update Next Week
In a new post on PlayStation.Blog, Team Ninja has announced an update that will add brand-new content to the game and also expand the existing. The developer announced that it will be adding five new Ally Missions, and when players replay a world in Midnight, they will be able to choose to deteriorate Public Order again.
The level sync selection feature is also being added to missions from Testament of the Soul with the update, and two new set bonuses called Ferocious Tiger and Prodigious Dragon have also been added with new armor, skills, and accessories. The dojo training partners have also been added, and the Martial Skill type bonus and raised limit of target score are also included in the update.
In the ally missions, players can team up and bring peace to unruly areas like Thugs: Honmachi, Thugs: Honjo, and Thugs: Honnoji. The Path of Chaos will now have different enemies every time, and Eternal Light, the most difficult mission yet, is also added to the Midnight difficulty. There are also new glider appearances that players can obtain from Formidable Foes of the Foreigner faction.
The New Rise of the Ronin Update Also Brings Gameplay Improvements and New Features
Team Ninja has also made several gameplay improvements to Rise of the Ronin with the update that will make the experience smoother for players. Players can now expand the number of styles to a maximum of six when they equip the same weapon type in slots 1 and 2.
They can now also change the specification for special equipment that they want to be given, even if they do not confess. Players can change the specifications for greetings with characters to return to normal after a breakup, and they can also adjust the asynchronous character selection.

As for the new features, the Unruly areas can now be manually reset based on the completion of the chapter on the Midnight difficulty; players can also register “Jizo Statuette” for item preset loadout; progressing cat collecting will now show cats that players can pet around the non-combatant ally, Usugumo Dayu in Yokohama, Kyoto, and Edo.
There are other quality-of-life updates, including character and weapon adjustments, as well as enemy adjustments and bug fixes, that make the gaming experience much better for players. What are your thoughts about the Rise of the Ronin update? Let us know in the comments.
