Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man has been through a complex evolution throughout a decade in the MCU’s Infinity Saga. With this in mind, a concept trailer for a potential fourth Iron Man film was released on YouTube by Cinematic Pro Studio. The trailer shows what the storyline would have been if a fourth film had been made. It follows Tony Stark’s daughter, Morgan Stark, carrying on the legacy of his father and trying to live up to his reputation.

Further in the trailer, we see Morgan trying to resurrect his father using a microchip as she says, “…with this memory chip, I’ll resurrect not just your memory dad, but your essence.” She builds a clone of his father and instills the microchip in it. This is an exciting trailer to watch, and fans would certainly be interested in watching this film on the big screen.

Downey Jr. has moved on from the MCU and is now winning awards left and right for his performance in Oppenheimer. His MCU days are over, and there will not be a fourth Iron Man film. However, the concept trailer reminds fans how much we have missed him and the fanfare it would cause if he were to come back in some way.

Christopher Nolan Chose Robert Downey Jr. Because of His Immense Talent

While casting Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan knew he would be assembling some of the best actors who would be contributing and supporting Cillian Murphy in telling the story of an emotionally torn individual, tasked with the insurmountable task of building an atomic bomb. The director had eyes on Robert Downey Jr. to play Lewis Strauss, the antagonistic figure to Murphy’s J. Robert Oppenheimer.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Nolan revealed that Downey Jr. is nothing like Lewis Strauss. However, he knew that Downey Jr. would be able to sink his teeth and disappear into the role. Nolan called Downey Jr. one of the greatest actors of his generation and knew that he would get something special out of him. He said,

“Let me put it this way: I didn’t see any of Lewis Strauss in Robert Downey Jr.—at all. I didn’t know him but I’d met him a couple of times, and looking at him from the outside, I felt like he just was in a place where he would be ready to come and try something completely different.

And as a director, if you can convince one of the great actors of his generation to come and challenge himself in a completely different way, you just know you’re going to get something special.”

Downey Jr. has won every Best Supporting Actor award in various major award ceremonies leading up to the Oscars. He is most likely winning the Oscar, and Oppenheimer itself is poised to win several major awards at the event. Fans can watch Downey Jr.’s magnificent performance as Lewis Strauss in the film on Peacock.
