But after all this time, it looks like his depiction of the young vampire from the pages of Stephanie Meyer’s superhit literature series might give him a chance to try something new with a familiar concept. Recent reports have now surfaced, which tell us that MCU director Chloé Zhao might be considering the star for the role of one of the most famous vampires in modern pop culture.

While it might’ve been a few years since we saw him as a vampire in the Twilight franchise, it seems like Robert Pattinson still carries the image of an incessantly charming supernatural being, thanks to his dashing looks. Thus, seeing that image he created of himself with one of his career’s most iconic roles, creator Chloé Zhao has shortlisted the Tenet star to become the face of her version of Count Dracula.

After film industry analyst and reporter Daniel Richtman did some digging, he reported that Zhao was just about finished writing the screenplay of her film that she had announced in 2021 on the Being of Darkness. Her depiction of Dracula would be centered around a futuristic sci-fi iteration of the popular character and will focus on the narrative of being on the fringes of society, something that we had never seen done before with the legend of Dracula.

Richtman further reported that as the director finishes her screenplay, she is wasting no time in deciding who will depict the character in the film. He reported that at the moment, the director has only approached Pattinson to play the role of her version of Dracula, probably because he has the fine experience and natural looks to pull off a character like a supernatural bloodsucker.

Amidst these reports, it seems like Lionsgate is on its way to reboot the multi-billion-dollar Twilight franchise, which further excites the fans of the star and the series.

While she might have slipped up when she went to direct Eternals for the MCU, it seems like Chloé Zhao has returned to spread her artistic wings and think outside the box with her next film that will feature the vampire legend. As mentioned before, the narrative is set to focus on society’s fringes while also bringing Dracula out of his slumber into the modern 21st century. This will drop the legendary supernatural being into an unfamiliar environment which will ensure some interesting experiences for both him and the audience.
