With 3 seasons to its name and a 4th one on the way, creator Eric Kripke has since attached a tagline to the series. Stating how “batsh*t crazy” each season is, fans are tired of hearing Kripke say the same thing again and again. Giving up hope, several fans took to X (formerly Twitter) and claimed that the upcoming season would not be as good as its predecessors.

Despite a series titled Gen V set in the same universe as that of The Boys, Eric Kripke assured the people that the cinematic universe cannot get too complicated like Marvel.

After 3 seasons of Homelander vs. The Butcher, a new series titled Gen V was released set in the same cinematic universe as that of the Prime Video series. Focusing on a college filled with supes, the story is set very close to the heart of Kripke’s series, but the creator assured in an interview with EW that it won’t become too messy!

“Also, it can’t get too complicated, you should be able to watch Gen V and not watch The Boys. You can watch The Boys and not watch Gen V. But [the shows] talking to each other and being consistent is always important.”

As of now, a teaser for the 4th season of The Boys has been released, which revealed the release date to be in 2024. Gen V, on the other hand, is currently available to stream on Prime Video around the world.
