Diablo 4’s Season 3, The Season of the Construct, has begun and has sadly met with a fair amount of negative criticism, as gamers have a few notes for Activision Blizzard. This isn’t the first time that Activision Blizzard has released an update that the gaming community isn’t happy about, but just like last time, it has received this criticism and taken it under its wing.
Since the beginning of the Season of the Construct, there have been plenty of quality-of-life updates that changed the way Diablo 4 played, but now players are cheering at the response from Activision Blizzard as changes have been made to completely upgrade the game.
What Changes Did Activision Blizzard Make to Diablo 4 to Improve It?
When it comes to Diablo 4, there are plenty of different events, dungeons, and activities that can keep you busy for hours if you have the mental capacity to grind them out. But one of the problems that comes with the constant grind for loot and experience is the fact that sometimes players will never be able to get the loot they are looking to get.
For example, the later in the game you get, the more special loot you will want to earn, which leads players to repeat some of the end-game content. However, before this patch was finally released, there was very little loot to earn from these events, as they weren’t dropping as much as players wanted.
This led players to complain, as they were spending nearly enough hours attempting to complete certain boss fights, specific events, and just overall playing the end-game content to basically receive no rewards for their efforts.
Now this has been altered so that when players complete the new seasonal activity, which ends with a boss called the Herald of Malphus spawning, they will receive rewards for killing said boss, which are now set at one guaranteed legendary and a 15% chance to receive a second one.
Speaking of seasonal content, the Seneschal companion has also had a few adjustments to its tuning stones, as players are now able to receive more tuning stones from seasonal content, and they are now cheaper to acquire from the jeweler, which also provides extra stones once opened. These are only a few of the changes that have been brought about in the new patch.
Is this a good sign for the future seasons of Diablo 4?
As stated above, there have been a few issues when it comes to Diablo 4 and releasing new patches to try and fix things that are already broken or that people are complaining about. However, the first time Activision Blizzard did this, they changed things negatively to the point where many gamers felt weakened by certain characters.
This time, Activision Blizzard has focused more on changing things so that players feel like they are actually achieving something rather than being shorthanded. Whether that be by increasing the difficulty of the new Uber boss so that players feel a sense of achievement once they beat him.
Or by providing them with more loot so that they can refine their characters in so many more ways rather than just using whatever they can get their hands on at the time. Since Activision Blizzard is proving they are willing to work with the gaming community, there is hope that future seasons could improve with the comments that are raised this season.
So far, we have already seen this patch receive a lot of positive responses from the gaming community, and we can now see that if a developer is willing to work with its community, there is a chance that we could receive a fantastic game that everyone can enjoy, whether they are casual or constant players.
