During an interview available on YouTube, Rogen shared that Kanye West and he used to share the same personal trainer and how his session was right before West. In one of the sessions, the Flashing Lights singer arrived two minutes before his session, and while Rogen was working out, he shared that he knew Superbad word for word which was one of his weirdest interactions with rappers.

“I used to work out with the same personal trainer as Kanye West. My session was right before his and he showed up like 20 minutes early, it’s like a room like this, like with gym equipment in it. It was in a guy’s garage essentially and for 20 minutes, I worked out with the trainer as Kanye literally just stood right next to me reciting scenes from Superbad word for word. I worked with Eminem once and he’s like ‘I know the entire movie Superbad word for word’ and he started doing it to prove it. That’s actually happened to me a few time by rappers.”

During an exclusive interview with GQ, the comedian shared more light on this,

“Me and Evan Goldberg started writing Superbad when we were in high school and we incorporated a lot of our real-life high school stories. I mean, the character’s names are Seth and Evan, after me and Evan. The period blood happened, we were at a high school dance and we were in the locker room afterwards. It essentially played out almost exactly like how it does in the movie.”

“There’s a scene where the youngest guys at, like a party full of older guys who start doing coke, that happened to me and Evan. I did stand-up comedy as a kid, so I would hang out with the stand-up comics sometimes when I was like 16. And one time we went to a party at one of their houses and they all started doing coke. It was a lot like the scene in the movie. You can’t think of that, that has to happen.”

These hilarious experiences proved to be a gem for the viewers as it was something that they had never seen before in a film, establishing itself as a comedic gem.
