Now, with the wheels of the sequel finally turning, insider Daniel Richtman aka DanielRPK took to the microblogging platform X to reveal that the movie will indeed center around Iron Fist.
While fans are overjoyed to hear about the prospect, it’s crucial to remember that this news remains nothing but rumors until official confirmations are made.

But the statement that stirred fans’ curiosity wasn’t about the time-travel aspect, but rather the mention of “an Iron Fist.” This unexpected revelation sparked considerable debate among fans, igniting speculation that Finn Jones might not reprise his role as Iron Fist in Shang-Chi, despite the character’s presence in the film.
This twist also introduces the concept of a female Iron Fist according to Can We Get Some Toast’s Patreon on X reported via Cosmic Book News, offering a fresh interpretation of the movie compared to Marvel Comics. According to reports, this new character named Janora will step into the spotlight soon enough. Interestingly, Janora’s debut is set to take place in the animated series Eyes of Wakanda, alongside a Wakandan warrior named Basha.
Who Could Potentially Replace Finn Jones for the Role?
Who better to be Iron Fist than Colleen Wing herself? Known as the Iron Fist in the second season of the Netflix series, Colleen Wing, played by Jessica Henwick, could potentially be added to the Shang-Chi 2 narrative, given the rumors circulating about the studio searching for a female Iron Fist.
In Marvel Comics, Colleen Wing is a member of the Heroes for Hire, a skilled samurai with chi-related abilities. However, just like her portrayal in Marvel Television, the Shang-Chi sequel is also expected to delve even deeper into the rich lore surrounding the Iron Fist legacy.
