Getting engaged in September 2022, Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin officially declared their engagement almost a year later and also shared their decision to take the next step and walk down the aisle. But surprisingly, Sprouse almost blew it all up with one DM and got ghosted for six months.

Dylan Sprouse Almost Blew Up Meeting His Soulmate
Shacking up their first photoshoot together in 2019, Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin made an appearance for WMagazine, where they recalled the initial years of their romance. Discussing how the two stars met each other, the couple shared their classic love story where a boy met a girl at a party and followed each other on Instagram but then the boy slid into the girl’s DMs, and got ghosted.
Well, apparently their modern love story almost didn’t happen when Disney alum Dylan Sprouse slid into Barbara Palvin’s DMs and got ghosted for six months. Recalling the journey, the duo shared their side of the story and justified their action and finally, how they got together.
“She followed me, so I was like, I guess I’ll give her something. And I slid into her DMs. I was like, ‘Hey, I don’t know if you’re in New York for very long, but we should hang out if you want to. Here’s my number.’ And she didn’t message me for six months.” Sprouse shared.
Creating a sense of mystery, Barbara Palvin left Dylan Sprouse on read. And the actor, on the other hand, gathered his pride and didn’t pursue it any further.

Dylan Sprouse And Barbara Palvin’s Romantic Journey
During their discussion with WMagazine, Dylan Sprouse mentioned what he did after getting ghosted by Barbara Palvin. Reflecting upon his pride and regret simultaneously, Sprouse mentioned moving on with his life and career. Booking a movie and leaving for China, the former Disney actor discussed his regret. At the same time, even Palvin mentioned why she refused to reply to him.
“I took my time. I knew I wasn’t in a good mind-set at the time, and maybe deep inside I knew that it could be something more.” Palvin explained.
After the supermodel shared her part of the story, Dylan Sprouse took the cue and mentioned how he is not the type of guy who chases after being rejected. “I’m not one to chase,” he confirmed.
“If I get left on read after putting out my number, f*ck that. I’m crying internally, but outwardly…. So I ended up booking a movie and going to China for a six-month shoot. My manager was with me and asked, ‘Dylan, is there anything you wish you had wrapped up before you left?’…And for the first time in six months, Barbara popped in my head, and I thought, I wish I had time to take this girl on a date. Ten minutes later, Barbara texts me for the first time in six months.” Sprouse shared.
From there on started Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin’s enchanting journey. Dating for five years, the duo eventually got married in 2023 at the same church where the model’s parents got married over three decades ago.
