Ubisoft and Skull and Bones have a very complicated relationship. The game that was born as an expansion for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and later evolved into a new and complete game was delayed into oblivion.
Skull and Bones was announced in 2017 and, after more than seven years of development, was finally released on February 13 with a very average rating, pushing towards negative criticism in general. Ubisoft described this game as an AAAA title, and it cost $70. The Platinum Trophy cannot be acquired because of a bug in the game.
Skull and Bones has an important issue that has trophy hunters not very happy
Ubisoft has finally released the pirate simulation and action game that was in development hell, Skull and Bones, which is already available only for the current generation of platforms. Players and critics have not received the title very well, with an average score of 61 on Metacritic and a significantly lower user score. But even with a not-so-good start, players are playing and find out that the Platinum trophy for this game cannot be obtained. The game has a very weird bug with an easy trophy.
Thanks to some sleuthing by users over on PSNProfiles it’s clear that the Platinum Trophy cannot be obtained because of a bug in a bronze trophy. This trophy is called ‘Hello, World’ and is a very simple one to do.
In the general chat of Skull and Bones, you have to put “Ahoy!” with the quick chat options. But in the beta of the game that was released, this option was turned off and apparently never turned on again, so players can get this trophy at the moment. This is not the first game of the year to have bugs in the trophies.
What is coming for these pirates?
This pirate adventure game has a lot of new content planned. Skull and Bones has at least one year of content ready to be launched in the next couple of months, right until the end of the year.
New raids, ships, cosmetics, and a lot of other content are planned to give this live-service game more life after this complicated release. The most important are the kinds of pirates that will come to the game from all over the world.
Skull and Bones is already available on PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. Ubisoft’s next game of this year is the highly anticipated new Assassin’s Creed Codename Red. According to rumors, this will be the biggest game in the franchise and will finally be in a Japanese setting. Fans are very excited about this.
