Fans Are Mocking Dakota Johnson’s Desire to Return in Madame Web Sequel
Sony has now released Madame Web, which is the fourth film in their shared universe of their Spider-Man characters after the two Venom films and Morbius. The film stars Dakota Johnson in the titular role along with Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott.
The film has received mediocre reviews from critics and fans, with many calling it one of the worst Marvel films ever made. However, Johnson was enthusiastic about returning for a potential sequel to the film. She told Gamesradar+ that while she does not know the future plans for the character, she will be happy to reprise Cassandra Webb/ Madame Web. She said,
“If they want me to come back then I definitely will. I have no idea what’s in store.”

With the negative reviews and the poor box office projections, it seems unlikely that a sequel will be made. it remains to be seen whether Sony decides to improve on the material by committing to a second film or abandoning the character altogether.
Dakota Johnson Felt Lost Working in Blue Screens For Madame Web
Dakota Johnson is starring in a big-budget superhero film for the first time in her career as she plays the lead in Sony’s Madame Web. The actress had never worked in a CGI-heavy film before, and she struggled while working on a green/ blue-screen for some of the scenes that required some visual effects to show her character’s psychic abilities.
The actress told USA Today that she was completely lost while shooting those scenes as she didn’t know what was happening around her. She admits to feeling like a complete idiot and she had to resort to using her imagination a lot during those scenes. She said,
“Working on a blue screen, you really have to activate your imagination a lot. There were moments where I was just really lost and didn’t know what we were doing. It was mostly me that was the idiot who was like, ‘I don’t know what’s happening.’”
Audiences have been criticizing the performances of the cast of the film, calling them subpar and unconvincing. They were not impressed with the underwritten arcs of the two Spider-Women played by Sydney Sweeney and Celeste O’Connor. Madame Web is repeating the same mistakes as Morbius and is looking at becoming another box office disaster.
