A scene that should not have been discussed at all in the first place, ended up sparking a massive controversy a few years ago.

Katee Sackhoff’s ‘bo*b-armor‘ controversy

Katee Sackhoff is one of the most established actresses in the industry at the moment. The American actress first rose to fame for her portrayal of Lieutenant Starbuck in the science fiction series, Battlestar Galactica. Sackhoff has also been nominated for a number of accolades throughout her career spanning over three decades.

Katee Sackhoff first voiced the character of Bo-Katan Kryze in the series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and later, Star Wars Rebels. The actress also made the live-action debut for the character in season 2 episode 3 of the Disney series, The Mandalorian. However, unlike her previous roles, portraying the role of Kryze in the live-action series caused massive controversy and through no fault of her own.

Apparently, the chest piece of Bo-Katan’s armor had more curves than it should have and it ended up pissing off the fans a lot. According to fans, other female characters who have appeared in the series earlier did not have that much curve to their armor props so why did they do it to Bo-Katan’s armor?

Bo-Katan Kryze has always worn a chest piece with that much curve or ‘bo*b armor‘ previously in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and later, Star Wars Rebels as well. However, it seems like when Kate Sackhoff actually had to wear the prop for filming The Mandalorian, the fans just started getting offended over the most ridiculous reason they could find.

Although Katee Sackhoff has voiced the character of Bo-Katan Kryze in multiple animated series over the years, it still was a challenge for her to successfully portray the role of Lieutenant of the Death Watch in The Mandalorian perfectly.

Katee Sackhoff once opened up in an interview with Variety and talked about how it felt to put on the armor for the first time. She said,

“Dave [Filoni] was there the first time I had my whole costume on and I had tears in my eyes. I was so overwhelmed and so excited. I was a little in shock that this was my life. I have seen actors around me get opportunities and been so excited for them, and I’ve never really had a moment where I was blown away. When you very clearly have stepped up and into something that you think is greater than yourself is a very big moment for an actor.”
