Starfield has been around for a few months and the gaming community is spending time reviewing the content. The game developers is providing more post-launch support and most of the new features are groundbreaking but there is always room for improvement.

The game heavily focuses on space exploration and interstellar travel and there is one mechanic that the gaming community would love to have. It would be nice to float away in space and see the galaxy firsthand while safely tethered to a spacecraft or shuttle.

Starfield Players Think an Airlock Is an Essential Feature That the Developers Overlooked

Bethesda Game Studios had a lot riding on this ambitious project and is not holding back with support. The gaming community is making the most out of the Creation Kit and came up with some impressive mods like an interplanetary travel mod for the Xbox version of Starfield. This feature increased the entertainment and gave the game a more immersive experience.

The fans do their part by throwing suggestions and ideas for the developers to consider. Among these ideas is an airlock feature that would give players more options to enjoy the game by floating in the vacuum of space.

The developers recently released an update for the game and introduced some much-needed features like a world map. Despite being added late into the game, the world map was well-received and it made exploration and navigation much smoother for the gaming community.

Airlocks in a space shuttle have been seen in various formats like live-action films and television series. Bethesda Game Studios has the opportunity to give the gaming community the freedom to safely float in space while being tied to the ship and explore as much as they please, or use it against hostiles and execute them in an unforgiving way.

The Developers Should Take Notes From the Starfield Community

The developers failed to realize the potential of zero gravity and how it could appeal to the gaming community. Perhaps the modding community will take matters into their own hands and develop a mod themselves, modders have barely scratched the surface of the Creation Kit and could do more than just cosmetic items like adding Batman or the Mandalorian into the game.

The gaming community would love to try new things that could not be easily achieved in real life. Floating in space will fulfill the fantasy of players who aspire to explore beyond the final frontier and see the pitch black of space as far as the eye can see.

Shattered Space is coming up fast and the developers could include these suggestions before shipping the DLC. The gaming community will take any content the developers have to offer, especially if it appeals to them or is right up their alley of interest.
