The Va’ruun class of weapons in Starfield is the best-kept secret in the game in a way, as they feel quite illegal to be used in combat. The particle beam weapons in the Va’ruun class are easily one of the best weapons players must have in their armor in the game. They’re just as deadly without any modifiers as they are with them as even the stock guns without upgrades deal quite a lot of damage.

The Va’ruun Painblade
The melee weapon in this class, the Painblade is also the best in Starfield as it can be used to one-shot lower-level enemies. The weapon also has a stealth upgrade that can be used to one-shot even higher-ranking enemies. The Painblade has the highest damage rating and deals two types of damage – energy and ballistic. Hence, if an enemy is resistant to one of these, they will still feel the other.
