Sony has recently partnered with a popular K-pop artist to market their upcoming game, Stellar Blade. It’s not as if this game does not have any buzz around it; they are just going ahead and doing what they can to make it even more popular. Stellar Blade will be launching on PlayStation 5 later this month, and a number of things in this game have generated a lot of hype around it.

As if that was not enough, Sony and the developer Shift Up decided to bring a live-action advertisement for this game. This live-action ad is special in one very interesting way: it stars a very popular K-pop star known as BIBI!

It’s nothing new for a publisher to go all out to market their game. Years ago, when EA was about to launch Dead Space 2, they started an unusual campaign targeted at edgy teenagers. They called it “Your mom hates Dead Space 2.”

In that campaign, they showed off that game to a bunch of moms from around the US. They were understandably angry over the depiction of violence in it. They let their disappointment known pretty vocally, effectively making it a successful campaign.

Publisher THQ was also known for such crazy ideas. They once released a game called Homefront, which was about a bunch of people fighting the North Korean army as they took over America. The campaign for this game was as crazy as its story.

During the 2011 GDC, they decided to let go of hundreds of red balloons in the air to get the attention of attendees. It worked in two ways: it did not make sense, and it started an outrage from people as they saw the balloons coming down and causing an eco-outrage.

But Sony is not doing any of these crazy things for their upcoming action spectacle. They just hired a popular K-pop star to make a music video for this game. And judging by the teaser of that video, it’s going to be just what this game deserves.

The short teaser showcases BIBI entering the world of Stellar Blade and taking a walk around the environment. Just as she reaches a bunch of giant containers with humanoids in them, the video cuts.

This is not the first time Sony has partnered with a musical sensation to market their product. Previously, they partnered with Japanese star Kenshi Yonezu to create an explosive ad for PlayStation 5.

Everyone, including fans of BIBI and Stellar Blade, are blown away by this incredible new revelation. They are already proclaiming that Sony has done something incredible just to market an upcoming game. Now it seems even more obvious that this game will be a massive success when it finally launches later this month.

Fans cannot stop appreciating Sony for this new crossover
