With less than a month to go until Stellar Blade’s release, Hyung-Tae Kim, the game’s director, discussed numerous details. For example, different outfits inspired the looks of Eve, the protagonist of the title, and much more.
This information was part of an interview, where Kim and Dong-Gi Lee, the technical director, talked about the future of Stellar Blade and the possibilities that this game could have. They even mentioned a possible crossover with another popular IP from Shift Up Corporation, Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
The Possibilities Are Huge for Stellar Blade After It Launches
Stellar Blade became very popular after the latest gameplay and trailers. Many players noticed that the game’s main camera was always at the rear end of the game’s protagonist, Eve. This escalated after the gameplay of the title proved that the hypersexualization of the character is on purpose because, according to the director, Hyung-Tae Kim, this is what the player wants. The physics is very detailed, making her bounce almost every part of her body.
Apart from the controversy surrounding Stellar Blade, the director revealed many more details about the upcoming game in an interview. He talked about how many outfits Eve will have as well as the different songs that Stellar Blade has, one of the main features of the game.
People questioned him about the potential for collaborations with other games, particularly those from the same studio.
Stellar Blade Will Have Post-Launch Content
Regarding the collaborations, especially with NIKKE: Goddess of Victory, another Shift Up Corporation title, he said the following: “Yes, of course, if that’s what the users want, then we can do anything that will please them.” So fans could be very happy with this, because once the game launches, they will definitely ask for outfits based on the characters that this other title has. If Stellar Blade ends up being even more popular, another collaboration could happen.
The main mechanics of Stellar Blade, a third-person action game, are parrying and moving quickly enough to avoid taking a lot of damage. Exploration is a big part of the experience, as Eve will have to discover the last bastion of humanity to save the Earth from this terrible alien invasion. The game will feature a skill tree with new weapons and abilities to face the alien threat on Earth. SB will be released exclusively on PS5 on April 26.
