Lady Rose Hanbury Has Allegedly Taken Legal Action Against Stephen Colbert
Recently, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Stephen Colbert insensitively joked not only about the personal lives of the members of the British Royal Family, but also the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, Sarah Rose Hanbury.
Following the incident, Lady Hanbury has taken legal action against Colbert. In a statement to In Touch, the lawyers addressed Stephen Colbert’s joke about Prince William’s alleged affair with the Marchioness, saying:
“The rumor appears to have entered into the mainstream media recently as a result of another joke made about it on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. We have written on our client’s behalf to CBS and various other reputable media organizations to confirm that the allegation is false.”
However, the speculation has significantly intensified despite Rose’s statement against the rumor. This is not the first time Prince William has been accused of cheating on his wife, The Princess of Wales, with Lady Rose Hanbury.
According to The List, the rumors about the Prince’s alleged affair started circulating in April 2019. However, the affair is speculated to have taken place a year before the media picked it. According to these rumors, the Prince allegedly had an affair with Lady Hunbury when Middleton was pregnant with their third child, Prince Louis.
What Did Stephen Colbert Say About the British Royal Family?
Colbert has made a few insensitive remarks about the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The host even dragged Lady Rose Hanbury into the mess. In his talk show, Colbert brought up the rumors of Prince’s affair with Hanbury, saying:
“So, I think we all know who the alleged other woman is. Say it with me –– the Marchioness of Cholmondeley –– what a beautiful name.”
