Over the years, DC Comics fans have ached for an excellent adaptation of the Green Lantern Corps, regardless of the project being a movie or show. Well, with James Gunn working on the new Lanterns TV show, the expectations are high.

Speaking about the new show, American Fiction actor Sterling K. Brown recently expressed his desire to play one important character in the show. Brown wants to bring John Stewart to life, as revealed in an interview with Rotten Tomatoes.

Seeing John Stewart, knowing that there was a black Green Lantern was something like in terms of representation, was like ‘Oh Man! There’s a space for me in this world and I see it.’ And when I looked [at the cartoon], I would think, ‘I kind of look like this dude.’
