Steven Seagal Drew Praise from PETA After Landing on a Mad Rampage by Conducting an Unsanctioned Raid While Filming ‘Lawman’

Steven Seagal Could Not Tolerate Animal Cruelty

Steven Seagal spent the better part of his life learning and practicing martial arts, and running a dojo as a martial arts instructor, although when he moved out of it, he was hooked on acting and made his Hollywood debut soon after. Seagal started in the industry very late, during his thirties, and made a name for himself with many of the movies he starred in, with his breakthrough movie, Under Siege, receiving proper praise. Though Steven Seagal’s career is always shadowed by controversies and scandals, he is appreciated by many for his intolerance towards animal cruelty and has also taken some severe actions against them.

In one of the episodes of Steven Seagal’s reality TV show Steven Seagal: Lawman, Seagal raided the house of a suspected cockfighter, but the raid was a bit dramatic as he drove a tank followed by many heavily armored vehicles into his home. However, while the suspect was apprehended and the animals rescued, it was reported that the theatricals Seagal pulled off resulted in the death of over a hundred animals. Still, despite this fact, Seagal and many others saved many roosters and were appreciated for it, PETA also released an official statement regarding this matter and thanked him indirectly.

Steven Seagal’s Current Evaluation

According to recent reports, Steven Seagal has been busy with his humanitarian work in Russia for which he was even awarded the Order of Friendship by Russian President Vladamir Putin, a close delegate and an avid vocal supporter of the country. Seagal even worked to facilitate friendly relations between Russia and USA in many fields apart from the humanitarian field, such as culture, arts, and many others. The actor maintains a close relationship with Russia’s current President, Vladamir Putin and even though he is half-American, he declared himself to be a hundred percent Russian.
