The game recently had a closed beta available to selected fans who registered, as per Rocksteady’s official website. In other news, the game has recently suffered from leaks apart from the Closed Alpha that gave away important information about two significant antagonists in DC Comics: Poison Ivy and Joker. It is worth noting that there could be some spoilers for players wanting to play the game with an open and fresh mind.

The leaks have been posted on numerous platforms like Reddit, Twitter, and ResetEra and can be checked out by one for oneself. The Reddit post is made by a user going by the handle MistahJ17, and it allegedly provides links to some media related to the game.

The first one is the theme that is supposedly played when the Squad faces off against Batman in its quest to kill the League. It doesn’t reveal much since it is just a background score, and there is no indication that it belongs to the game. It is not a random audio track produced by someone else.

The second part of the leak allegedly reveals some in-game dialogue, which seems a little more likely to be part of the game since it features character voices. One can instantly recognize the iconic late Kevin Conroy’s voice when one hears it, which could indicate that the leak is legitimate. Still, there is no official confirmation on the same yet. The clip seems to show The Dark Knight during his last moments after the Squad supposedly defeats him.

Before the clip sees The Caped Crusader making snide remarks about every member of the Squad before succumbing to fatal injuries inflicted upon him, Harley Quinn gives a speech before finishing him off. The third link on the Reddit post shows an entire photo album of Ivy’s character in the game. It appears she is somehow a minor in the game, and the artwork shows her standing in front of the Penguin and Task Force X.

Since the game is set in a universe in the Arkhamverse, it doesn’t immediately make sense why Ivy isn’t a fully grown adult. This is where ResetEra’s leak of the alleged plot of the game comes into play, which a user alleges was revealed from listening to the game’s dialogue.

It is alleged that Lex Luthor revived Ivy to create weapons against Superman in the leaked plot. Once again, it is reiterated that nothing related to the plot has yet been confirmed. However, there is some suspicion since the links to many audio files are no longer working at the time of writing due to a copyright claim from Warner Bros. This could indicate that the leaks going around are somewhat accurate, even if the alleged plot leak has several missed points.

Finally, the Twitter post shows the same artwork for Ivy, which indicates that she will not be an adult but a juvenile in the title. There are photos of the game’s take on Mr. J. and how he will appear in the title.

It is incredibly different and, if anything, poles apart from the character’s appearance we are used to seeing in games by Rocksteady: Arkham Asylum, City, and Knight. The character model, though resembling the Clown Prince of Crime in almost every way, was criticized by fans in the post’s comments for not living up to expectations. Some even called it a hoax on the leak.

None of this is real. They showed joker in the closed alpha. It’s literally Arkham joker

Journalist Miller Ross also presented his take on the matter and commented that the leaks, while appearing real, get many things wrong. While Warner Bros. landing a copyright strike raises some suspicion, there is no official confirmation that all of this is real.
