The latest update to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has introduced an intriguing new detail to the Metropolis map, which now features a small section covered in ice. This suggests that Rocksteady, the game’s developer, may be hinting at the arrival of a new character.
For those who might be expecting this new addition to be Victor Fries, the infamous Batman villain, there might be some disappointment. Rumors suggest that the new character is actually Victoria Fries, an alternate universe version of the well-known DC villain.
Metropolis in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is Ready to Freeze with Mrs. Freeze
As seen in a video shared by user Batman Arkham Videos on X, part of the game’s map now features a snowy landscape with a fallen sign advertising “Ho-Ho Frozen Chicken Bites.” This frozen food product appears to be a subtle teaser for the addition of a new villain to the game.
Additionally, a video shared by ZeronityPlays on Reddit shows that other teasers may have been added to the game, indicating Mrs. Freeze’s arrival. When Harley is taken down by an enemy, Brainiac, the game’s villain, delivers a line that hints at the character: “I didn’t expect you to be the weak link in this chain, Freeze.”
Victoria Fries, according to reports, will be a multiverse character, similar to the Joker. She is expected to be introduced in June, as indicated by Ross, who stated that Mrs. Freeze would be added “in four months” from February. The Summer Game Fest, scheduled for June 7, could be the stage for this reveal.
This version seems to be based on other comic iterations where Nora had various fates, from being cured to gaining powers. It will be interesting to see if Mrs. Freeze’s arrival can revive interest in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which currently has fewer than 500 active players.
Leaks Also Reveal Upcoming Characters, Including Deathstroke
In addition to Nora Fries, leakers who previously leaked upcoming characters in January, suggests that after Mrs. Freeze, we will see Zoe Lawton as Lawless and Slade Wilson added to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League later this year.
It’s worth noting that Zoe Lawton and Lawless are two different characters in the DC universe. Zoe is Deadshot’s daughter and, in some stories, becomes a villain following in her father’s footsteps.
Lawless, on the other hand, is a World War II character known for his distinctive appearance with a beard and a shaved head. Rocksteady’s adaptation of this character could introduce historical elements and new missions for players, expanding the game’s universe in interesting and diverse ways.
Finally, to close what might be the game’s fifth and final season, we will have one of the fan-favorite characters: Slade Wilson, also known as Deathstroke. Unfortunately, information about these future additions is still scarce, and we will have to wait to see if the rumors prove true in the coming months.
Despite critical failure, Rocksteady continues to keep their game alive, despite low engagement from fans. Are you still playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Are you excited about the upcoming characters? Share your favorites in the comments!
