Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will see players play as the members of Suicide Squad namely Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark as they go against the Justice League to save the world. The game takes place in the open world of Metropolis and players can choose to either play solo or co-op with their friends.

The newly announced feature was previously reported but there was no confirmation from the developers until now, when game director Axel Rydby explained it in response to a player’s question on the official Discord of the game. The player asked the developers if it was true that friends in their squad would be able to select their character even if they were not online and they would also get loot and experience points.

Axel Rydby stated that the new feature is called “Social Squad” and it is much better than what the player described as it is not only limited to their friends an the person can be online whose characters players bring in their squad. Rydby explained that if players are playing alone and not looking to play with some members of the squad, they can replace them with other random players.

Players can go to leaderboards and get the characters of the best players in the world in their squad and even of their favorite streamers. He also mentioned that the teammates of the Social Squad will have the gear, skills, and cosmetics that the players have already equipped, just like players themselves join a co-op play session. He further added that it is a great way to play with friends, even if one is playing solo.

Now coming to what’s more, the original player whose characters players used in the co-op session will get a portion of loot and resources earned during the session and it’s separate from rewards that players earn. This new feature has been appreciated by the fans awaiting the game’s release, stating that it’s a great system and that it is a good thing for players who usually play solo or well, don’t have friends to play with.

Players have shared their excitement to use this feature and many added that this has made the game more appealing to them. The developer has recently started sharing more and more details about the game including the missions, locations, and much more. However, it remains to be seen how the game’s reception will be when it launches next month.
