Regarding the company taking on multiple projects, he stated, “40 or 50 games, or whatever, at the same time, because that would kill us.” He clarified that this kind of work will not be good for the studio; they have a focus-based way of working that just works.
Vincke elaborated on this, saying that this studio is independent and focuses on specific things that will not work if Larian Studios works on more projects at the same time. He said, “I think we’re intellectually unable to go further than that. We don’t know how we would do it. It would turn us into something different from what we are right now, and we don’t want to do that.” This company only wants to make good RPGs.
Baldur’s Gate 3 team is already working on a new game that will not be like any project that the studio has made before. New art, new mechanics, and a new beginning. Vincke and the company have not given any more information about when this game will be available. Fans are really excited about what this amazing group will do next.
