Guess what? Sydney Sweeney, the awesome actress from Euphoria, just spilled the beans: she’s coming back for Season 3! Yep, you heard it right. She’s not taking a break, no sire! In a recent chat with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, she dropped the bombshell that she’s gearing up to hit the set again and start filming.

Sweeney confirmed on March 13 that she’s getting back into the swing of things, hinting that Season 3 might kick off sooner than we thought.

During her MTV chat, she was asked if she’d chill out after promoting a bunch of her recent flicks like Anyone But You, Madame Web, and Immaculate. But guess what? She’s diving straight back into Euphoria mode. No breaks for this gal!

When pressed for deets on Season 3, she kept it hush-hush, teasing us with a sly “maybe. I don’t know,” when asked if she’s seen a script. Oh, the suspense!

But you know what’s cool? Sweeney’s pumped to reunite with her Euphoria family. She’s been away for three years, but coming back feels like going home. She can’t wait to hang out with Zendaya and Maude Apatow again; they’re like family, she says.

Now, here’s the lowdown: As per EW, HBO has already confirmed that Season 3 will hit screens in 2025, but filming’s supposed to start this year. It’s been a long three-year wait since Season 2 dropped, mainly because everyone’s been crazy busy.

HBO bigwig Casey Bloys spilled some beans to Deadline, saying creator Sam Levinson’s still scribbling away. Season 3 is a mystery, especially after some big changes, like Barbie Ferrera leaving and Angus Cloud’s character meeting a sad end.

In an interview with Vogue, costume designer Heidi Bivens hinted at a five-year time jump. So, we might get to see Rue and Cassie navigating life after high school. Exciting stuff!

Oh, and did you hear? Sweeney’s also chatting about her gig in Sony’s comic book movie, Madame Web.

Sydney Sweeney Swiftly Distances Herself From The Sony Marvel Movie

Sweeney seems to be kinda backing away from that Sony Marvel movie after it didn’t do so hot at the box office. Yeah, Madame Web didn’t exactly set the world on fire, and now the actors from the Marvel movie are kinda like, Eh, let’s move on.

The movie, which came out on Valentine’s Day, is about a paramedic named Cassandra Web, played by Dakota Johnson, who gets these future-seeing powers and ends up saving three young women from this bad guy, Ezekiel Sims, played by Tahar Rahim. The idea is they’re all gonna be superheroes or something.

So, both Johnson and Sweeney, who was Julia Cornwall in the movie, aren’t exactly thrilled about how it all went down. Sweeney even said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that she “was just hired as an actress in it, so I was just along for the ride for whatever was going to happen.”

And get this, as per THR, she even made a joke about it when she hosted Saturday Night Live, saying something like, “You might have seen me in Anyone but You or Euphoria. You definitely did not see me in Madame Web.” Pretty funny, right?

Anyway, Sony’s got the rights to Spider-Man and all that, but their movies aren’t really part of Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, so they don’t always do as well.

Madame Web got pretty bad reviews from critics, like just 12% on Rotten Tomatoes. And it didn’t do too great at the box office either, barely making back its $100 million budget. Tough break.
