Stellar Blade is one of the most popular games that will be released in the coming weeks. It has created so much buzz already that the game is sure to be very successful. Over that, the fact that it is a PlayStation 5 exclusive means that fans of Sony’s latest-generation console will be having a lot of fun.

The reasons for this game’s success are plentiful. For one, games like this have been absent from this platform for a very long time. The last time fans got their hands on a hack-and-slash action game was when Capcom launched the Devil May Cry 5 special edition for this console. But that’s not the only reason this game has become so popular. The other reason is its protagonist, and now some are even becoming fans of a side character called Tachy.

Fans are going gaga over Stellar Blade’s Tachy

Stellar Blade is slated to release on 26 April 2024.

There’s a lot to love about Stellar Blade. This action game is being developed by Shift Up, a new Korean game studio. It is being developed using Unreal Engine 4, and it looks just too good. Its environment is detailed, and its character models are as realistic as they can be.

But there was something that fans noticed more than anything else, and that was its protagonist, Eve. She, according to some fans, looks spectacular. And she is, without a doubt, supposed to look too good, as developers have designed her after a South Korean model, Shin Jae-eun.

This was revealed by the game’s director, Hyung-Tae Kim, a while ago. No doubt he was more than enthusiastic about letting fans know about how they came about designing this incredible-looking protagonist.

“Yes, we did base the character of Eve on the model Shin Jae-eun. We thought that her body shape would be a good reference for the character that we were pursuing. But the face was created originally in-house; it’s just the body of the model that we scanned for the game.”

It goes without saying they did justice to her, and the end result is that Eve looks just mind-blowing. But if some fans are to be believed, there’s someone who looks even better and deserves much more coverage. It’s none other than Eve’s in-game mentor, Tachy.

Tachy was featured in the recently revealed demo for Stellar Blade, and no doubt she looked incredible. But no one would have thought that she would get so much love that she would end up getting her own fanbase.

A still from Stellar Blade featuring Tachy

As per the game’s official description, Tachi is the courageous leader of the 7th Airborne Squad. She is described as a celebrated soldier renowned for her tactical acumen, combat skills, and survival skills.

Unlike Eve, who is still scared and doubtful about her new mission, Tachy is very confident and knows her way through the world they are exploring. Maybe that’s why fans fell head over heels for her. Due to her headstrong attitude?

People all over the internet, especially Twitter, cannot get over Tachy. They can be seen praising this character and talking about how incredible it would be if she were the protagonist. Some are even calling her better than Eve.

At this speed, maybe Shift Up would end up going back on their decision of not developing an expansion for this game and giving Tachy her own small story. Just to keep fans happy.
