Ted Lasso, co-created by Jason Sudeikis who also stars in the titular role, is a sports-comedy drama spanning three seasons. The latest season was released last year and continues to receive critical acclaim, earning both Sudeikis and the show numerous accolades. Interestingly enough, Jason Sudeikis might have unintentionally hinted at the fourth season.
Despite facing some criticism in individual episodes, the latest season of the show has been well-received by viewers on the streaming platform. Nevertheless, fans still wondered if a fourth season was ever going to happen.

Jason Sudeikis Possibly Hinted At Season 4 While Shutting Down A TV Host’s Claim Of Rejecting The Show
The creators of Ted Lasso addressed claims from The View co-host Joy Behar that she turned down a role in Season 3, where Jason Sudeikis’ character, Ted, takes center stage in the episode “Mom City.” Despite Behar’s reasons for declining, citing concerns about the heat during filming and a lack of personal necessity to be on the show, Sudeikis and the co-creators expressed surprise during a recent panel.
While speaking during the PEOPLE X IHG panel in Los Angeles, Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt responded to Joy Behar’s claim about turning down a role in Season 3. The duo, expressing genuine surprise, mentioned they were unaware of Behar’s statement. Sudeikis said, “I, no. Joy Behar from The View?” while Hunt, also known for playing Coach Beard, was more direct by stating, “Respectfully, it would be news to us. We just work there.”
Sudeikis extended an invitation to Behar, saying she would be welcome if a Ted Lasso Season 4 were to happen: “She’s welcome to sit at the table.” Obviously, by directly mentioning Season 4, fans are now convinced Sudeikis might have accidentally hinted at another season happening in the future. Whether that happens or not is still something fans have to wait to know.
Ted Lasso Season 3 Was A Mixed Bag For Many
In contrast to the positive reception of its predecessors, the third season of Ted Lasso led by Jason Sudeikis received a mixed critical response. While the first season had a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and the second an impressive 98%, the third season fell short with a score of 82%.
Some reviewers expressed dissatisfaction, stating that it felt “tedious” compared to the earlier seasons. Other criticisms included inconsistent character arcs and negative evaluations of certain subplots. Should a Season 4 actually happen, fans can hope they will fix all the issues seen in Season 3 and return to its former glory.
